My hospitality career began at Florida State University. Like many others, I started as a bartender/server at a local Steak House. I grew up playing sports and being part of a team, having comradery with my fellow teammates, entertaining crowds, and celebrating wins made the hospitality industry very appealing to me. It is a very similar environment to the restaurant. I have now been in the industry over 25 years and still as passionate as ever. Throughout this time, I have had the fortune to be part of many well-known brands, have experienced various concepts, and lived in different regions throughout the US.

Understanding to control the controllable, pivot through challenges, take care of your people, and always remembering to deliver a memorable customer experience has been very defining for me. Having an athletic background, I have always valued the principles of sports. In order to win, you need to be a team player, listen to your coaches, challenge your teammates and practice the basics. These core values have been part of my foundation as a leader. They are achievable ways to help your team reach the goal. I am equally passionate about developing others and helping them succeed. I take pride in believing in my team and giving them the tools to get to the next level. Once you enable a team member to reach their full potential, it empowers them to be part of the growth and success. They see the vision as clearly as you do and are equally invested.

My wife, Susan, and I have been together since meeting at Florida State University. We enjoy being with our families, traveling, going to sporting events and staying in shape.
